The first album

সমর্পণ

Shomorpon

Surrender. The giving over of oneself. The record is still being made; two of its songs are already out.

Album art for সমর্পণ (Shomorpon): the Ashwin crest in gold over deep crimson, the title in Bengali calligraphy.
About the record

Songs built the slow way

No two songs on সমর্পণ arrive the same way. About half begin as Nafees's words, with the music built afterwards to carry it; the rest begin as a melody of Syed's that the words are then written into. Either way it then goes to the artists who complete it: they sing it, play it, and give it the form you actually hear. The record is theirs as much as ours.

Still coming

The rest of সমর্পণ

More of the album is written and recorded than is released. Songs go out when they are finished and not before. Subscribing is the only reliable way to know.
